EXTINCTION IS FOREVER . . .
What is biodiversity? Why should we care about endangered species? What happens when a species becomes extinct?
These questions and more will be answered as you embark on a mission to seek out endangered lifeforms and boldly go where no AP Biology students have gone before.
You will find out how the loss of biodiversity is affecting our planet. Each month, you will choose a group of organisms (Plants or Animals) and find one species that is endangered. You will create a page with a photo of the organism/species, where the organism/species is found on the planet, how many are left, and why the species is endangered. Finally you should conduct some research into any efforts to save this species from extinction.
2010 was the International Year of Biodiversity. Check out the video below.
